Looking for information on possible Mary Wylie who married a William McGregor about 1795 probably Chester Co., SC. Children seem to all have been born in SC however the family may have moved to KY early in 1800's though there is connections as well to Jefferson Co., AL (which I guess would have been a territory at that time. I believe that some of the Wylie's might have moved to Jefferson Co. AL as well as a connected family of Thomas Franklin who moved from VA>NC>SC>AL and died in Jefferson Co. AL I believe Mary Wylie (first name is tradition) was the daughter of a Samuel Wylie. Mothers name unknown. It is possible that Mary Wylie died in SC and William remarried a Permelia Clark or that the Wylie wife was named Permelia or Amelia - not sure some of the information from various researchers seems confused. Know the connection to Wylie is very strong and I haven't found any connection to Clarks. There is documented connections with the Franklins of Jefferson Co. AL and is suppose to be a court document which connects William McGregor to ownership of land in Jefferson Co., AL though I have not seen this and can find no time that he lived there. It may have been an inheritance for either himself or his wife which was then sold.

Any information would be appreciated.
