Hi Ross, Moses Wray born c 1725 lived on Maggotty Creek in 1747 (which is in Franklin Co Va.now). He purchased land Mar 23, 1761 from Richard Randolph, 150 acres on Maggotty Creek. He will of Apr 29, 1802 is in Franklin Co Courthouse. I handled it and copied it, the original will that he signed. I have his probate and inventory also. The inventory was Feb 7, 1803, 88 lbs, 10 s, 7 p. His sons in law John Wright and James Wright witnessed the will.
Jason Wray wrote a long account of taking his Uncle Ben Wray to Franklin Co Va from Indiana by motorcar in 1928. Ben Wray stated that "the Moses Wray farm is now owned by the widow of Fletcher Wray". We have visited the Fletcher Wray farm and it surroounds the Wray Cemetery. I have land purchases and sales by Moses Wray in Franklin Co. Va.
Moses always lived in Franklin Co. Va. after 1747. Ken
