There was a Baker Wray listed in Brunswick co Va in 1771. George Wray was appointed to maintain a road in Brunswick co Va in Meherrin Parish south of the Meherrin River. I believe that George Wray or Ray was my ancestor. The names listed as paying taxes in that area I assume to help maintain the road were Nathaniel Wray,Baker Wray,John Wray,Josiah Randle,Jesse Tatum,Kelly,Woolsey and wesson. these were the same neighbors that wre listed on the deeds where George Wray or Ray bought and sold land from 1769-1777 in Brunswick co Va so George must have been related somehow to the wrays in that area. the same neighbors that wre listed as neighbors of George Wray were the same nighbors that wre listed for John Wray or Ray and Nathaniel Wray and John Wray etc. If anyone can help me please email me at rsmith6670@msn.com There was a Benjamin,Joseph and Moses Wray listed living in Lunenburg co Va in 1748. Lunenburg co Va was formed from Brunswick co Va in 1746 so maybe they were living in Brunswick co Va and when Lunenburg co Va was formed in 1746 they were then living in Lundenburg co Va. I did see a site that said that Moses Wray or Ray was the father of George Wray. George was born in the 1740's. I tried to contact the person that posted the info but they did not reply so it can not be verified. Any help apprecaited. Thanks,Ross
