The gentleman that raised Samuel Hughes Woodson was Colonel Joseph Crockett and was the second husband of Elizabeth Moore Woodson. Elizabeth Moore Woodson's first husband was Tucker Woodson, Jr., of Albemarle County, Virginia.

The Crockett cemetary is back of Catnip Hill Road in Jessamine County, Kentucky. My cousin and I found the cemetary through the Jessamine County Historical Society. We found it several years ago. The tombstones were crumbling. I do have several pictures that I took of it, if you would like to see them.

The Crockett cemetary has since been restored by the Jessamine County Historical Society using funds donated by the Woods Foundation of St. Louis. Samuel Hughes Woodson was my fourth great grandfather. I am in the middle of transcribing a very old book about Joseph Crockett and will put it on line in PDF format when I am finished.
