There was a Woodson at Boonesboro, Ky. (with Daniel Boone) in the late 1700s/early 1800s. I think his name was Samuel. That Woodson is/was of "our" line. I think it would be worth your while to check and see if your Samuel is descended from him. Boonesboro historical site has its own webpage...just google "Boonesboro Kentucky settler list".
