Looking for Thomas Jefferson Wood/Woods

I am looking for my gg grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Wood/Woods born in SC about 1840... He had a brother that I know of named, George Washington Wood/Woods born after 1850..

I have looked all over for a 1850 census with him and his parents and I can't find any..
He married Elizabeth Blue about 1865 and moved to Blount Co., TN about 1866-67..

Any information would be appreciated.. Thanks for your time.
