I am looking for information on the George E Wood, who immigrated from Canada to Watertown NY in 1898, the year he married (1) Mary Ellen Brown Lee, (d. same year) and in 1900, according to the Watertown NY census of that year, was married to a Sarah E. They were in the same household with John and Jane Newman and their two small boys, Leonard and Harold, and also an 8 year old girl named Eva M. Lee, daughter of his first wife, Mary Ellen. I hope someone can help me trace the girl Eva M., perhaps through subsequent census records? It is believed she was adopted by George and Sarah. Any information clearing up this matter will be appreciated. thanks.
