I have all of this information, Leah. I'm looking for the father of John Milton Wood, Sr. Though I believe I've found the father of Sarah Dennis - Jonathan Dennis - I don't know much about him either. All I believe I learned from the U.S. census reports about the Woods. That was more than my father, Charles Milton Walter Wood (Walter M. Wood) knew. His mother was a Murphy and he knew the Murphy family well. But because his father died when he was 6 and his uncles all left S.E. Missouri about then, he knew nothing of the Wood side of the family
The information that you have about William W. Wood, my great-grandfather, is what I believe I gave you. I'd love to know where he died and, even more interestingly, who he visited in Texas and where they were. There are a lot of Woods there but I haven't been able to establish a relationship, yet. I don't have the family bible - it was given to Charles Milton Wood's younger brother - Roy Wood - after he died by his widow. Roy had 2 daughters who I have not yet been able to trace.
I look forward to any further information.
