This information suggests William Potter (b. 1608 and d. 1662) married Frances Childs. Without reviewing the list of children for the moment, I notice the comment he came to America with the Davenport Company. That would have him arrive on the Hector, when documented evidence has him arriving with his wife Frances on the Abigail in 1635.

William and Frances joined the Davenport Company in Boston and traveled with them to New Haven as original settlers. They did not arrive on the Hector and were not members of Davenport or Pruddens congregations. Documentation appears to show this in numerous places.
