Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Nathan S. "Nate" Wood (1840-1917), who served in the Fourth New York Heavy Artillery during the Civil War. He started his military service as a private in 1862 and ended the war as a captain and brevet major.
