Beginning in 1815, Albemarle County property tax lists show one "Jessee Wood (Cull)." He is listed separately from Jesse Wood (son of Jesse), Jesse Wood Senr, and Jesse Wood (son of the Major).
Woods, in his Albemarle County history (1902), does not refer to him in the section on the Wood family, but mentions under the Yancey family that Jechonias Yancey married Mildred, sister of Jesse Wood (Cull).
What is the significance of this parenthetical reference?
