I have a Sophia Widman in my family. She was born around 1854, probably in Canandaigua, which is not far from Rochester.

She has a younger brother named Charles.

But from the US Census reports I found on her, she never married, nor did Charles.

Since you're looking for Widmans near the Rochester area, we may have a common ancestral link. Hopefully I can help in any way I can. I've been able to trace my family's Widman descendant to a German immigrant by the name of Johann Georg Widmann. He came over with his twin sister, Christian, when they were somewhat teenagers. And they both lived near Rochester before he got married and settled in Canandaigua. He worked as a boot/shoemaker.
