Thanks for the additional info. I found out a few things after I posted the message.
But the person doing the census online for NJ has a lack of knowlege of history and in frustration I myself forgotten some facts.
The State of New Jersey destoryed the 1790-1820 census not thinking very clearly that there would be future interest. It wasn't done through any hostilities. True there might be some remanets stored in some cubby hole somewhere but who is going to take the time to search? Hahahaha
