Am seeking information on the family of Humphrey Montgomery, who married Mary Walker, 1 Apr 1793, Knox County, Tennessee. There is a possibility that this family lived in Blount County, TN, before moving to Lawrence County, AL.
Humphrey died before 1833, and Mary Walker Montgomery sold land in Lawrence County, AL, in 1833, listing herself as a widow. In this land transaction, William Tatom Stovall,and his wife Mary, were also mentioned, as were James Montgomery, Robert Montgomery, and Humphrey Montgomery, Jr., who I assume were sons.
Does anyone have a connection to this group from Tennessee to Lawrence County, Alabama?
