Just realized that "Augustine" referenced above was a female, so that changes facts, so I have re-written the paragraph under James' Notes as follows:

"...The 1870 census of DeSoto Parish Ward 4,LA showed: James Walker 22; Wesley Walker 26; Thomas Matthew Walker 23; Augustine Walker (f) 22 LA & Mary Sessions b 1864. Augustine may have been the wife of Thomas Matthew Walker, and also she may have been married previously and Mary Sessions was her daughter. These siblings were at household # 300, and their mother was at household # 296. Eliza M. C. Walker was not listed with the siblings, nor with her mother in this census."
