Brian, this family is Group 9, Walker DNA. Joseph Walker b abt 1769 in what is now Warren Co., NC where the family settled by 1756, is the son of Capt. Hardwick Walker. If Joseph is the one in the 1814 Tax Roll of Warren Co., NC he moved to SC & m Druscilla Doris Vannoy/Van Noy b 1780 SC in 1814/5. His 8th of 9 children was Joseph Wesley Walker b 24 April 1819 SC d Aft. 1880, prob in Blount Co., AL. Wesley m Nancy Artemissa (Walraven - or Reece). I can reconcile with your information, except I couldn't tie to your # 20 Eliza F Walker 1840-1842 SC -and if # 16 is Joseph Wesley Walker, instead of Joseph William Walker b 1841 d 1917. Good info - you added some details about some grand children, etc., that I had not picked up. Joseph had a son named Hardridge (in 1830 land grant records) - I came to believe (complicated) that the 2nd born child was "Joseph Hardridge" Walker b 1805 NC. The problem is difficult since I haven't been able to find him after the 1830 census in Habersham Co., with a wife and young boy & girl. Still be working on that. .......... I still need to find Hardridge Walker b abt. 1815, son of Thomas William Walker, RS, son of Capt. Hardwick/Hardridge Walker. .......... The Benjamin b 1788 TN in McNairy Co., TN. Whose son is he? I think Jesse & Delilah West Walker's. But could the Hardridge in McNairy Co be son of Thomas William WAlker, RS, and not Benjamin?- don't think so. Just noticed something odd about the estate summary of Capt Hardwick's heirs in 1796: last four were Thomas, Joseph (Executor), Benjamin, Hardridge (Executor). Hardidge b 1782 was 14 years old. Perhaps Benjamin still be the baby and father let relatives take the baby as his wife was deceased in 1790, but latter married another Mary? (Can't locate details of the Summary). Oh, well....
