I would like to contact Frank Ellis Walker b 1949, Pendleton Umatilla, OR, and whose last known address was 623 E 34th St Tacoma, WA 98404. Or if he can not be located, I would like to be directed to where his research documents were left. Frank Ellis Walker b 1949 OR, desc of (Group 9, Walker DNA Study) Jesse, RS, through Johnson Walker. He traveled by plane over the USA meeting with Walker researchers. He was m to Sandra Lee Winkler and siblings were Frederick & Frances Evelyn. Frank apparently was a successful brilliant programmer, perhaps with the government. He visited overnight with us in Atlanta, obtaining any documentation that he could talk me out of, and he could convince one. He put documentation, including some of mine that he was to copy and return immediately to me (such as a note book of letters from my 100-year old great Uncle to me, -irreplaceable. Also all the publications by Mrs. Kerr that are no longer available.). (The Walker Family Books publications in GA had so discouraged me because of serious errors that I had thought for a few years that I would not touch genealogy actively again, but I did intend to retain all materials.) He put materials in a large box that he would ship by air express; it looked about 24 inch by 50-60 inches by 12-18 inches high. It was mostly filled at that time. Over the years efforts to find Frank failed- mail returned, unknown. (He told me that he had a disease that will eventually kill him, perhaps early, and wanted to get the family recorded for his children.) Here's another strong reason as to why I am posting: He had visited the late Mrs. Mary Hinton Kerr, the well-known publisher of records in Granville/Bute/Warren Co., NC. He said that she was not well and had some Walker documents "just found" in an old mill in Warren Co., NC that will provide previously unknown information on our Walker's. (My remote Uncle Thomas Walker 4th d 1770 had a Mill near Warrenton.) Frank insisted that these records were not accessible from his box, but that he would make copies of the found documents and send to me and Mrs. Kerr. She gave these records to him by his promise to copy and return. I did not get a copy, nor did an acquaintance researcher, the late Dr. George Fuller Walker, whom I took him to visit. Hope that this reaches Frank, and he is ok. W. Ray Walker Notify Administrator about this message?
