Note to Brian Walker & others
The West family was married into our Group 9 families as well as other Walker's. Hopefully connecting the West family will be helpful.

.. +? John had joined a NC regiment for service in RW. It is not known if he died in action. There was a battle at Moores Creek Bridge near Wilmington, NC in Feb 1776, and there was a "West" involved.

1. Thomas2 West (John1) was born Abt. 1750 in Lincoln Co., NC, and died 21 Mar 1831 in Rutherford Co., NC.. He married Elizabeth ? Bef. 1780. She was born Abt. 1754 in Rutherford Co., NC..
Notes for Thomas West:
In the 1790 census of Burke Co., NC, he was living next door to James Walker. Thomas had 1 male under 10, and 2 females under 10, which coincides with the children listed.
Thomas was said to have moved to Rutherford Co., to marry Elizabeth.
Listing of his children including Delilah came from ancestry.com. Note that children were all born in Rutherford Co., NC, which was formed out of Burke & Tryon in 1779.
His will on file at Rutherfordton, NC, left to his wife, Elizabeth, youngest children, Isaac & William, and Delilah, John Sarah, Phoebe, Thomas Elizabeth & Mary. The will was dated 21 May, 1831. It was witnessed by John Bavette & James (his mark) Lewis. Thomas West signed the will with his X mark.

Her grandfather was John West b abt. 1732 in Lincoln Co., NC.
Notes for Jesse Walker:
He was a Mill Right in the 1850 census. He is mentioned in his father's 1832 application for pension as "...Jesse Walker Esq., one of the acting Justices of the Peace of the County of Bledsoe...."
1830 Census, Bledsoe Co., Jesse Walker, Jr, 2 males under 5; 1 bet 5-10, 1 bet 20-40, 1 female bet 5-30; 1 bet 30-40.
Ephraim Walker, 3 male under 5, 1 bet 5-10, 1 bet 20-30, 1 female bet 20-30. However Jesse, Sr. (but no Jr. See cenus notes for Ephriam, Jr.),was in Bledsoe Co in the 1840 census as bet 30-40, with a son 20-30, daughter 30-40 & wife 40-50. There were indications that Jesse Jr., & his first cousin, Ephraim (Jr.) moved to KY from Bledsoe Co, and it is assumed that was after the 1840 census. However, it could be that they moved to MO, where Ephraim and his wife died before the 1850 census.
