John Pittman is thought to be the oldest child of John Woford and Elizabeth Roland Smith. Elizabeth is reported to have been born at Smithfield, Kentucky in Henry County. John and Elizabeth were buried in the Chaplin Fork Cemetery at Chaplin, Kentucky.

John Pittman Woford married Martha Katherine Lane on 12/18/1876 in Boyle County, Kentucky. She was reportedly either from Gravel Switch or Perryville.

They lived about one mile north of Bardstown on HWY 31E in the Plum Run Road area.

I have a little info on the children if you are interested in that also.
