My ancestor Benjamin Wade b VA 1750 settled in SC and owned land in Clarke Co., GA by 1816 which he sold after moving to Jasper Co., GA . He was in the 1821 Lottery for Jasper Co., as being from Hancock Co., GA.

He died in Jasper Co., GA in 1824.

CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ANY CLUES AS TO WHERE IN VA BENJAMIN CAME FROM - AND WHO HIS PARENTS MIGHT BE?

Only one of his children, Benjamin (jr) seems to have spelled his name as WAID.
