The Edward Viers you speak of was the son of Capt. William Viers (sometimes spelled Veirs) and Mary (Magruder) Viers. He was born in Frederick County (Montgornery County), Maryland. He married Mary Rankin. Edward was a school teacher in Lewis County. He was born about 1764. If I remember correctly his sister married Samuel Clark (Clarke). I have the marriage notations and resources in my notes somewhere. It might be noted that I ran across some information somewhere, that Capt. William Viers became a Major, but I don't have the resource I read that in.
