Vinny, Josiah's parentage is still unproven, but Elizabeth was the daughter of Samuel Arnold and Mary George. Josiah and Elizabeth had a number of children, but I'm only certain of four of them:
1. Susannah (b. abt 1740) married Joseph Dickens on 17 Jan 1760 in the Church of Christ at Salem, Westchester Co., NY. Joseph was her first cousin on the Arnold side, being the son of Elizabeth's sister, Sarah Arnold, who married William Dickens.
2. Rebecca (b. abt 1745) married Jabez Fuller 11 Apr 1765 in the Ch. of Christ, Salem.
3. Joseph (b. 25 Mar 1750, Greenwich, CT) married Sarah Mead.
4. Josiah (b. 1755) married Mary Ketcham
4 Feb 1779 at Greenwich and their first three children were born there. The rest of their children were born at Middletown, Delaware Co., NY. This family later moved to Friendship, Allegany Co., NY.
There are several other Utter marriages in the Church of Christ at Salem, and no doubt at least some of them are also children of Josiah and Elizabeth, but it still remains to be proved.
