Thanks for the information. Yes, I spoke to Deborah last week. I don't have much information beyond what's already been traded around and available online. I am descended from both John Harvey Uber and Michael R. Uber Sr. of Mercer Co., Pa. You can some information on the Winder branch of the family, descended from Elizabeth Uber (daughter of John Harvey Uber) and John B. Winder, here:

I am continuing to work on a translation of the Loetzbeuren history page I cited, using a combination of babelfish and my German dictionary. I don't speak much German, but the page seems very interesting, with a history for the area that deals with the Reformation, serfs, the Plague, "free city" status, etc. I will be happy to trade whatever information I have of interest.
