I descend from Newton Christopher Turnipseed, through his son, Moxley Christopher Turnipseed, and his daughter, Ethel Jacqueline Turnipseed/Turner Johnson Schaffer. I knew her as Jackie as she was my grandmother; however other family members refer to her as Ethel. I never had heard the name Ethel until her 2nd husband died.
