My Gr-gr grandparents were Abraham Turnipseed and Nancy Scott. We must have a connection. Abraham and Nancy both died in 1864 and are buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Aliceville, Ala. in Pickens Cty. There was also a Susan Scott who was probably Nancy's sister. She was married to Michael Turnipseed. The only real evidence that she was Nancy's sister is in Abraham and Nancy's family bible. There is a notation that "Aunt Susan Scott moved to Mississippi with Jesse Turnipseed (her son)". They did indeed move to Mississippi right across the state line from Aliceville. I'll see what I can do to find Daniel Abraham.
