Harriett Turnip and Henry G Meredith

My research of the Turnip name has produced no results: my question to Turnipseed reseachers, can you offer any advice as to whether the surname of Turnip may have any connection to Turnipseed? My particular interest is in one Harriet Turnip, born 1805 in SC.married 1839 In Franklin Co.MS to a Henry G Meredith. Their first child of record, was a Mary Lutheria, born about 1840 in MS, and married a John David Hollinger abbout 1858 in MS. Mary Lutheria died in Arkansas in 1904. Hopefully someone can help me decide whether I should continue to look for a connection to the Turnipseed surname. Thanks very much, Ann Spencer
