I was looking for Madison Turnipseed in Florida and saw the posts on the Ohio family. Thought I would put what I have on here in case there's a connection someone wants to pursue. Some of this is guesswork, but much is definite.
Here's the broad outline. The connection to Potley Turnipseed of SC is a guess, based on a genealogy on Ancestry that says he had a son Emanuel the right age and the fact that Emanuel's census records show his being born in SC. THis is an FTM descendant report, distorted by the narrowness of this page. Sorry. Mary Pounds was from Columbia County, Georgia, and must have gone to Marion County, Florida, to visit her aunt Mary Fuller Roberts, wife of Irby Roberts. Madison Turnipseed is listed as a nephew in Mary Roberts's will, which is how I found the connection.
