Thanks to those who responded to my original message concerning glaucoma. Although a small percentage of Americans are afflicted, I realize that many different families are involved who married into the original Taber family; guess it is silly to try to pinpoint any particular family. My grandmother of course descended from a brother of Phillip (Joseph) - but certain genes I have been told never die out, and although they can be recessive, are still in our gene pool.
