Some information about Anna, who was married to Basil Swearingen.
On the backside of my family photo of Anna is the notation "Grandma Carachers, Boyd, Swearingen, Cain"
After tracking this I found that Anna, whose family name was apparently Carachers from NJ, married David R. Boyd, b. c1821 in PA, around 1846. They had three children: Harry, b. c1847; Emma L., b. c1849; and George, b. c1852. The older two children are listed in the 1850 census with their parents.
Anna married Basil Swearingen around 1858. They are listed in the 1860 census along with her three Boyd children and her eldest Swearingen daughter, Alda, b. c1859.
Around 1893 Anna married Joseph Cain. They lived in Indiana. Anna E. Cain died in Indiana in 1903
