Many forums allow a poster to edit his/her post within the 24 hour period following the post. It appears that this forum is not one of them.
In my original post I inadvertently omitted a generation when I referred to Col. Van Swearingen as my g-g-g-grandfather. He was, in fact, my g-g-g-g-grandfather.
