Does anyone have information on the ancestors of Clyde Stribling, believed to be born on 7-16-1899 in Lincoln, GA, and buried in Danburg, GA, in May of 1966? Wife's name believed to be Susie V. Thurmond. They had six or seven children: names known are: Travis, Thomas, Elizabeth, Joe, and Francis.
My husband's father was Travis Stribling, born on 8-8-1937 in Danburg, GA. He moved to Detroit, MI, in 1949. Married to Yevonne Harris Stribling.
They are supposed to be related to William "Young" Stribling, the boxer of the 1930's, and I am trying to trace the link.
Young's parents were William L. Lawrence and Lily Braswell. Young had a son named William III and a daughter named Mary V. And Young's brother was Herbert.
I have been trying to find information on the descendants of Young's children and brother.
