A tie of your family to that of Daniel Stoy of Stoystown sounds really unlikely, at least from an ancestral standpoint. Maybe there's some third or fourth cousin relationship in Europe to find. If your Bible and its typed notes are as personal to your family as seems likely, Conrad Stoy came to America almost 100 years after Daniel Stoy was born. I suspect I've studied Daniel Stoy as much as anyone because he was the well-known brother-in-law of one of my ancestors. I studied Daniel's backtrail in Pennsylvania in hopes of tracking my Miller ancestry. It seems likely that Daniel was the son of Peter Stoy who immigrated to Philadelpha in the 1730s. Daniel was most probably born in America in 1738. That's way too early and on the wrong continent to be ancestral to your Conrad Stoy. So the second set of notes is possibly wishful thinking on someone's part. / Tom
