Dear Thomas: Thank you.
Matthew McAfee indicated as never in Chester Co!
Quemahoning Township of Bedford Co/Somerset Co never in
Westmoreland Co.
Westmoreland Co formed 1773 from Bedford Co; Bedford
formed 1771 from Cumberland; Cumberland formed
1750 from "Lancaster" start.
Of course, that area of present Somerset Co that contained Quemahoning and Daniel Stoy and so forth borders all of the areas where Mathew McAfee, Rev War Veteran, was/is found.
Mathew McAfee, at only 16/17 years of age is already serving in the Westmoreland Co Malitia, and at once enlists in the 8th Penn Line as Rev War starts.
Good Luck in you research efforts. Regards, Dick
