I am trying to trace my Hungarian ancestors. Family tradition says that they were landowners in Zala County, once part of Hungary, now included in Slovenia, if I understand correctly. The family name is Plosser or Plosszer. My great-great-grandfather was born in 1830, possibly in Nagykaniza. He came to the US around 1850 after working as secretary to Lajos Kossuth. I welcome any information or suggestions about how to proceed.
