I can confirm that I have info your Christian C Shelly (m. Inza Rose Chelsey) as the son of Philip R Shelly and Lovina Shutt. Philip R Shelly is the son of Christian B Shelly and Barbara Rosenberger. Christian B Shelly is the son of Samuel Shelly and Anna Beidler. Samuel Shelly is the son of Christian Shelly (b. abt 1727, Bucks County, PA; d. 1 Jan 1793, Milford Twp, Bucks County, PA) and Susanna Taylor (b. 1730; d. 1817, Bucks County, PA). I believe Christian and Susanna are buried at West Swamp Mennonite cemetery. I have Christian as the son of immigrant Abraham Shelly Sr (b. abt 1699) and Elizabeth Musselman (b. abt 1700). My recent research indicates that Abraham is the son of immigrant Hans Scholli (b abt 1672) and grandson of Benedict Scholli (b. abt 1642, Switzerland). Abraham had a brother, Christian, who settled in Lancaster County, PA. I suspect the early Shellys followed the circurstances of my Stauffer family line. Because of their Mennonite faith, they were forced to flee Switzerland to Germany before coming to America.
