I am seeking proof that William Shelley, b 1666, is the son of Sir Charles Shelley [1637-1681]. This Shelley family lived mostly in Sussex, England. It is thought that this William came to Virginia sometime before 1702, where his alleged son, John Philip Shelley [1702-1749], was born.
Any supporting information would be very welcome.
