The Abraham Shelly with whom I am familiar was prob b ca 1790-1800 in Christian Co, KY. His parents were John Philip Shelly and Elizabeth unknown. This family can be traced to Edgecombe Co, NC early 1700s and Surry Co, VA in the 1600s. From what you tell me, I cannot tell whether your Abraham is the same as mine.
