Adah Shelly was 93 in 1981. The Oakland Press, Pontiac, Michigan, carried a long article and photograph. Miss Shelly was the first official librarian in Pontiac Michigan. The photo, black and white, is quite good and there are pictures of the first building and the lastest one. She refers to her mother who died at age 70 and grandmother at 84 but does not give their names.
