Do you know if Rosetta was part Indian and if so, from which tribe? I was thinking that she might be related to my Margaret Shelly (b. abt 1855) perhaps through Rosetta's father who would have been about the right age to be a brother to Margaret who was said to be part Cherokee although that hasn't been confirmed. Margaret was born in North Texas probably somewhere around Collin Co. but my family says that her family was from Oklahoma. I know this is a long shot but I haven't seen very many people named Shelly in the censuses.
