Hello David,
I believe that John Sheely and Margaret Platts were married in Holmes County, Ohio. Margaret was born in Pennsylvania Sept. 14, 1827. Your four children that you listed all fit the family and the dates. However there were 10 children in my reference.
My husband is descended from John's brother Simon P. born 9 June 1821. There father and mother were Joseph Sheely and Susanna DeWitt Sheely.
