My Schumanns (Phillip Lorenze Schumann) came from Germany in 1855 (born in Hasslock, Bayern in 1834) through New Orleans to Lancaster , OH.
Lorenze (Lawrence) married Christine Juliana Schweikert and moved to Nipgen, outside of Chillicothe.
Their children were:
Charles
George(my great grandfather)
Caroline
Christina
I feel certain that Ph.Lorenze came with or was preceded by other Schumann family members, I just can not make any connections. I have yet to discover which HASSLOCK he is from.(There seems to be many)
