You didn't say if you had already found them on census records, but I believe the following from Gillespie Co, TX 1880 census are yours. Note unusual location of birth of parents of Gustav and Augusta. From that you can match what looks to be their parents in the same county.

Looks like parents of Augusta. There is a Wilhm Luckenbach in the county born in Nassau, but his wife was born in Sachsen. So once again birth locations help here. Now, they do not "prove" the connection, but with a little research you probably find that proof. Wilhm is probably a brother of Jacob.

I would check out the Gillespie Co, TX GenWeb site. Some GenWeb counties are not only putting their cemeteries online, but other records, too. Be sure to also check the archived section of the TX GenWeb Project for additional county records. Do you know if your Luckenbachs have any connection with the town of Luckenbach made famous by the song of Waylon Jennings? It's located in Gillespie Co, TX.
Never mind, I went to Handbook of Texas Online and typed in Luckenbach and up came 9 items. You'll especially want to read the first two. Source for the information is given at the bottom of each item, you might want to read more about the county and people, too.
