Herman Schumann, was my g grandpa. He was married to a woman named Emma. Both Herman and Emma lived and died in Minnesota. They had 5 children. 2 Boys. (at this time I don't have thier names in front of me) and 3 Girls. Augusta married Julius Anthony Holz, in Dakota County, MN., Clara, married Edward Holz, also in Dakota County, MN. And Laura, she married a man of the lasst name Rinker. (They had no children.)
Herman and Emma was committed into a mental instution in Minnesota And they both died there. Herman died in 1936, and Emma in 1946.
No one is ever proud of saying that anyone in thier family was mentally challanged. But In the years that my g grandparents were committed, could of been as easy as her having PMS, and grandpa chasing chickens at night. If it wasn't normal as normal would see it at that time. Anyone with abnormal behavoriors were committed.
