I have a number of postcards my grandfather and my great uncle gave me years ago. The postcards are to and from the Schumann family from Jersey City, NJ, starting about 1893 and ending about 1906. I've asked my family, and nobody recognizes the name Schumann. Since I received cards from both my grandfather and great uncle I'm suspicious there is either a relationship or close friendship.
The names in the cards are Gustav Schumann, Mary Schumann, Ida Schumann, Carl G. A. Schumann, Augusta (Gussie) Schumann. The two addresses listed are 283 Central Avenue, Jersey City, NJ and 39 Zabriski (sp?) Street, Jersey City Heights, NJ. Apparently at least one of the family was a lawyer.
I'd appreciate any feedback on this family.
