Hi All,
I am writing to advise I have a photo of the grave of Pte John Rutherford who was killed in action with the 2/23rd Australian Infantry Battalion on November 19, 1943.
Pte Rutherford is now buried at the Lae War Cemetery, Papua New Guinea.
According to the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website, he was the "Son of Alexander Andrew and Alice May Rutherford, of Murtoa, Victoria."
