My Dad recently sent me some copies of birth.marriage and death certificates relating the Rummins,Rumans and Remens ancestors.Things seem to have got very complicated.On my Dad's birth certificate his Mother and Father are listed as William Bedlington Franks and Ellen Dorothy Franks nee rumens.On William's marriage certificate the bride is listed as Doris Eleanor Rummins!My Dad was present at his mother's death as she was only 36yrs old so he knew the exact date.When he found the death certificate his Mother was listed as Ellen Elizabeth Franks and when he applied for her birth certificate she was registered with this name.The other strange thing is that on her marriage certificate she says that her Father was Donald a bargeman.In fact her Father was Daniel Austin a barge captain who drowned.All the dates tally with the ages of my Grandfather and Grandmother an dmy Dad's middle names are Daniel Austin after his Grandfather.Can anyone offer any help?
