Henry, What a surprise to hear from you. I had found your name, address and telephone number through the internet awhile ago, and thought often of writing or calling. I kept putting it off because I didn't know how you would accept hearing from a stranger and frankly, I always thought of calling you when it would have been in the middle of the night in Scotland. I'm really not much for writing by hand, but I love to email! Let me tell you what I know (or believe) so far. My ancestral trail starts with my grandfather Samuel, born in the USA July 13, 1886 died September, 1966; His father, John,born in Wales September 19, 1847 died in Ohio November 3, 1930; His father Henry, born in England somewhere between 1815 & 1822 where he died is uncertain. His father Samuel born in England possibly in or near Bristol. Henry, Samuel and several of Henry's sons were miners. Henry and John both had several children so I imagine there are lots of cousins around somewhere. I hope you are one of them. If you have any information on your father's family, I would really love to see it. If you can see a connection here, I will gladly send you all of the family tree that I have.
