Hello Sarah
My RUMMINGs also seem to be from the Highway/Calne area and we probably have some connection somewhere. My ancestor, Anne RUMMING married Joseph WILKINS in Hilmarton in 1825. Anne was born in 1804, in Highway. Anne's parents, were, I think Betty BALL and Robert RUMMING who married in Highway in 1781 (this info is from the IGI), Robert's parents appear to be Martha DAVIS and William RUMMING who married in 1775 in HIghway.
This is all I have at the moment. I intend to look at the Parish Registers in Trowbridge when I have time to go there, but it may be a while!
Any connection you can see?
Best regards
Val Levy
