Have received confirmation today that my son in law's ancestor Guillaume Napoleon Rousseau born 1844 at St. Vallier, Bellechasse, Quebec, died 1930 in Bennington, Vermont was the son of Francois Xavier Rousseau 1815-1854 and Marie Reine Mercier 1818-1905, from his death certificate which I obtained from the Vermont State archives.
