Rich is my brother, and I believe the Dorthea you speak of is indeed our great-grandmother! Neat!
At this time I also do not believe there is a familial relation, but it is certainly a piece of our shared history. We recently found a similar baptismal paper in German for her son Rudolf (our grandfather) who was born in 1919.
Do you know if the Kendel's immigranted from Prussia / White Russia / Germany? I am fascinated to see if they came over together...
